Website design approach

There were a couple of challenges with this project, while Opus Design was designing the website, an outside developer was hired by the client to develop the website. The turn around time was super quick for a website. So not having all the developer information made for more questions and revisions. Sr Designer Emily Knapp, worked closely with the client to get the answers we needed and to get the design project done on time.A challenge with the design was making it user-friendly. The previous website had many pages, actually linked two separate websites and was very difficult to navigate. The goal of this new design was user-friendly, so the customer would also know the products were easy to use and user-friendly. Emily accomplished this by using a neutral background with their brand blue and a pop of orange and teal to guide the user through the website. The products are displayed with pictures, not icons, in circles to guide the user to important pages. The pictures really allow the user to see the products, as icons were harder to match to such a particular product. The high contrast of color on the website, hierarchy with pictures and a modern design completed this project.
